この熟語を見たときに、自分はそもそも「drone」の本来の意味を考えていなかったことに気づきました。
Weblioによると、「drone」は名詞で「雄バチ」、「(ハチなどの)ブンブンいう音」というがあるそうで、あのプロペラがたくさんついた「ドローン」はここから生まれたんだな、ということに初めて私は気づきました。
